We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Service:

We do not collect payment card numbers. Payments, if applicable, are processed by certified third-party payment processors.

3 How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the EVraahein Service
• Calculate personalised EV routes and identify optimal charging stops
• Send important service notifications (e.g., charging alerts, account activity)
• Respond to support requests and queries
• Analyse aggregate usage trends to improve the app
• Send launch and product update emails (only if you signed up for early access)
• Comply with legal obligations

We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

4 Location Data

EVraahein is a navigation service — precise location access is essential for route planning and charger discovery. Here is how we handle it:

• Foreground only: We access location only while the app is open and in use
• No background tracking: We do not track your location when the app is closed
• Not sold: Your location data is never sold or shared with advertisers
• Deletable: You can delete all stored trip history from your account settings

You may deny location permission, but core navigation features will not function without it.

5 Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate the app (cloud hosting, mapping APIs, analytics) — bound by strict data processing agreements
• Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority in India
• Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the new entity under equivalent privacy protections
• With your consent: Any other sharing requires your explicit permission

6 Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:

• Account data: Retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account closure
• Trip history: Retained for 12 months; you can delete it sooner from settings
• Waitlist emails: Retained until the app launches or until you unsubscribe
• Legal records: Some data may be retained longer where required by Indian law
